1 flown in rollover crash near Pleasant Hill

UPDATE @ 5 p.m.: A 62-year-old Covington man, identified as Steve Schwartz, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton after a two-vehicle rollover crash that happened around 12:15 p.m. today just north of Pleasant Hill in Miami County.

The other driver, also from Covington, was taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.

According to preliminary investigation, Schwartz pulled into the path of the other motorist. The crash, originally reported as a three-car crash, remains under investigation.

UPDATE @ 1:40 p.m.: Supervisor on scene says the man injured appeared to be OK, he was alert, talking and knew his name. CareFlight is taking him as a precaution.

UPDATE @ 12:56 p.m.: CareFlight has landed at the rollover crash. Medics on the scanner have been heard making removals to other hospitals. The number of victims in unknown at this time.

UPDATE @ 12:45 p.m. : CareFlight has been requested to a rollover crash.

FIRST REPORT 12:24 p.m.:

Emergency crews are working on victims hurt in a three-vehicle crash at West Thomas Road at state Route 48 in Pleasant Hill.

CareFlight has been placed on stand-by. Scanner traffic indicates one male is partially ejected from a car. One vehicle has overturned.

We have a crew on the way.
