Snyder said a man was welding inside a garage when the fire started; however, the official cause is still under investigation.
The man was able to get out of the garage, but was taken to any area hospital. It is unclear how serious his injuries are.
The flames spread into a mobile home that was connected to the garage.
Snyder said the fire caused serious damage to the structures and they will likely be a total loss.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and remained on scene for about two hours.
One of the firefighters was hurt during the overhaul and was transported to an area hospital, Snyder said. The extent of their injuries was not clear.
Fire crews from the Huber Heights Fire Department, Mad River Township Fire Department, New Carlisle Fire Department, and Bethel Township Fire Department, Miami County, helped out on scene.
