It is the first weekend in October. This means it is officially spooky season.
News Center 7’s Malik Patterson went through the house on Saturday.
Matt Eakins, also known as Wally Wonders, puts fear into everybody.
“They just look at me in fear and terror, where they’re just like, What do I do? I can’t go around him,” he told Patterson.
What started as a senior project for Hailey Anderson grew each year.
“This is a year-round project; we never stop building,” said Haily Anderson, also known as Laffin Lizzie. “Literally, Christmas Eve, we were building props last year.”
They continue by giving by working with local partners and donating it to the community.
“We had the pleasure of hosting the Cincinnati Ghostbusters, who did their toys for tots drive here, and we filled their bucket four times over,” she said.
Patterson said last Saturday was opening weekend for Laffin Lizzies in Bellbrook on Shadow Leaf Drive. It is free to enter.
Anderson said they accept donations to make it bigger.
“We are always looking for organizations to pair with,” she said.
They allow people of most ages to go inside the maze.
“I’ll radio back to the actors in the back and say, ‘Hey, we got some little ones. Let’s make this a great experience for them.’ But if you’re over the age of 13, it’s fair game.”
Laffin Lizzies will run until Halloween, October 31.
