DAYTON — The Dayton Metro Library (DLM) is celebrating recording its one millionth digital book checkout in 2021.
The library hit the mark when Powerhouses of Ohio High School Football by Tim Raab was checked out Thursday.

DML officials said in a release that the milestone shows the importance of library digital lending of eBooks and audiobooks, especially following the extended building closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
DML provides 24/7 access to eBooks and audiobooks through the Libby app.

In Montgomery County, readers need a valid library card to access DML’s digital collection.
