Dayton medic unit involved in crash while transporting patient to hospital

KETTERING — A Dayton medic unit was involved in a crash while transporting a patient to a Kettering hospital, officials said.

The crash was reported at the intersection of West Dorothy Lane and South Dixie Drive in Kettering around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

No injuries were reported in the crash, but a medic from the city of Kettering was requested to complete the transport of the patient to Kettering Medical Center.

The driver of the car was cited for failure to yield, investigators said.

The crash blocked northbound traffic on South Dixie Drive until around 2 p.m.
