DAYTON — The Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer’s is raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
The walk took place at Fifth Third Plaza with a ceremony starting the walk at 10 a.m. and the walk beginning at 10:20.

Last year, about $530,000 was raised through the walk.
To begin the walk, people participated in a Promise Garden ceremony, where people make a commitment to remember and honor their loved ones and fight Alzheimer’s disease. Each registered walker had a blue, purple, yellow or orange flower, which represents their connection to the disease.
