Body camera footage shows moments after a husband calls 911, saying someone shot his wife

TIPP CITY — Editor’s Note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the gun was allegedly found in the truck’s console. At this time, there is no indication that the gun was found.

Hours of body camera footage have been released that show the moments officers entered the Flynn household after Ashly Flynn was shot.

As reported on News Center 7’s Daybreak, six hours of body camera footage were released in the investigation of the murder of Ashley Flynn.

The videos show Tipp City Police Officers racing to the home of Flynn after her husband called 911, saying that someone had broken into their home and had shot his wife.

In one clip, Caleb Flynn can be heard saying, “Is, is she, is she gone, sir, is she?”

Caleb Flynn can be heard saying that there is a handgun in his truck, and officers later found that the center console of the truck was open.

Hours after the shooting, Flynn was brought to the Tipp City Police Station.

In the body cam video, you can see detectives fingerprint Flynn, but they told him that it was for comparison purposes, since his fingerprints would be all over the house.

Flynn asked the officers about getting his phone back.

“My parents are coming from out of town, like my phone and everything?” Flynn can be heard in the video.

The officer can be heard saying that they “will see” about getting his phone back to him and that it was standard for them to collect everything.

Flynn was then free to leave until three days later, when he would be arrested and brought back to the station, where he was fingerprinted again.

Cruiser camera footage shows he was then taken to the Miami County Jail, where he was booked on several charges, including murder.

Flynn is still in custody at the Miami County Jail on a $2 million bond.
