Dayton 937 pamphlets lay out what’s going on across the Miami Valley

DAYTON — As people begin to head back out and about after COVID-19 health restrictions were lifted, two Dayton women are trying to make it easier for other to find fun things to do around the Miami Valley.

Libby Ballengee and Lisa Grigsby founded Dayton 937 as a way to help support local businesses.

With Dayton 937, Ballengee and Grigsby print and place bright green pamphlets on display around the Miami Valley. The pamphlets list local businesses, as well as events happening around the Miami Valley.

“We know right now so many of the local businesses have been hit financially so hard,” Grigsby told News Center 7′s Candace Price.

One local business featured in the pamphlet is Hidden Gem Music Club, which opened in Centerville about three weeks ago. Co-owner Devon Schmidt said it was a “long process” to get the business open during the pandemic.

Schmidt said Dayton 937′s pamphlets were good for business.

“I think it helps not only Hidden Gem, my business, but other businesses around the area too,” Schmidt said.

More information on the pamphlet can be found here.
