SURVEILLANCE VIDEO: Kettering bowling ball attack suspect indicted by grand jury

KETTERING — A 41-year-old Dayton man is facing felony charges after he was accused of attacking an autistic employee at a Kettering bowling alley with a bowling ball.

Police responded to Capri Lanes on South Dixie Drive on March 14 when the attack was reported.

”Once there, they learned that the defendant had been in a brief argument with an employee at the lanes, who is autistic,” prosecutors said.

As the employee was behind the counter, prosecutors said Donte J. Nevins, 41, threw a 16-pound bowling ball at the employee’s face.

The ball hit the employee below the eye causing two fractures, investigators said.

Prosecutors said they have surveillance video that shows the attack Nevins is accused of.

Nevins is charged with two counts of felonious assault and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
