BUTLER TWP. -- UPDATE @ 8:48 p.m.: The furnace at Stillwater United Methodist Church went out, a Butler Twp. fire captain said, and there was no fire.
A custodian tells us he smelled smoke and called for the fire department.
FIRST REPORT
Fire crews have been dispatched to Stillwater United Methodist Church, 6911 Frederick Pike, on a report of a fire.
The dispatch was made about 7:25 p.m. and we're hearing the edifice is filling with smoke.
There are no reports of injury.
We have a crew on the way. We will update this developing report as warranted.
