The driver in a vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon that brought a utility pole down onto the car was shaken up but otherwise unhurt, Urbana fire officials said.
Champaign County deputies, a firefighter/paramedic unit from Urbana and a Dayton Power & Light crew were sent to U.S. 68 north and Herr Road at about 5:15 p.m. on a report of a two-vehicle accident.
The DP&L crew, which removed the pole off the car, is replacing that pole tonight, said Georgene Dawson, duty director with DP&L.
No outages were reported from the incident, Dawson said.
The roadway, which was shut down because of the accident, was reopened at about 6:30 p.m.
Other information about the accident was not immediately available.
