2 children found alone in home with two dead adults

DAYTON — Two children were found alone in a home after a man and woman were found dead in a bedroom of an apartment.

Sofonda Hire, 29, and Markeal Millner-Osborne, 30, were found dead Thursday morning inside an apartment in the 1000 block of South Euclid Avenue. The cause of their deaths were not immediately known. However, a Dayton police report didn’t indicate any violence.

Police responded around 10:30 a.m. to the apartment after Hire’s sister said she hadn’t heard from her sister in the last few days. Hire’s children also hadn’t been going to school, according to the report.

Two children found inside the building, ages 2 and 5, were taken by police to Dayton Children’s Hospital to be evaluated.
