CENTERVILLE — Centerville City Council has awarded contracts to civil engineering firm LJB Inc. and architect MKSK to help convert and translate plans for the Uptown redevelopment.
The selection was made based on the firms’ extensive experience with communication plans, local traffic conditions and knowledge of potential Ohio funding opportunities.
The Uptown Action Plan was approved in August 2019 and highlights six focus areas: improving walkability and reducing traffic congestion, improving parking, scheduling and organizing new events, focusing on business development, developing branding and increasing greenspace.

The three phases of redevelopment and tentative timeframes for construction are northeast (2022-23), northwest (2023-2025) and southwest (2024-2026).
LJB Inc. and MKSK have completed comparable projects in Westerville and Worthington.
