Charges filed against 4 in February bank robbery in Camden

Four people have been formally charged in connection to a Feb. 27 bank robbery in Camden.

A male suspect, later identified as Steven Anderson, 32, entered First Financial Bank, located at 4 S. Main St., about 1:15 p.m. Feb. 27 and demanded cash from a teller.

Anderson is charged with robbery and attempted robbery.

After fleeing the bank with some cash, Anderson was reportedly picked up by three others who were waiting in a truck in an alley.

Also charged in this incident areJustin Schleiger, 30, Lori Clark, 41, and Helen Stewart, 42, all charged with complicity to robbery and attempted robbery, according to police.

During the investigation, Anderson reportedly told police he had originally intended to rob the Somerville National Bank located further north on Main Street.

Camden police are searching for a man they say robbed the First Financial Bank Monday afternoon.

Crews were sent to the bank in the first block of Main Street around 1 p.m. on a report of a robbery.

A man entered the bank's east side door and presented a note demanding cash to a teller, Camden chief of police Mathew Spurlock said.

Spurlock said 32-year-old Steven Anderson of Camden is considered a person of interest in the robbery.

According to Spurlock, the suspect left with an unknown amount of cash and was identified through bank surveillance footage.

Police are asking the for the public's help in finding Anderson. Anyone with information on Anderson's location is encouraged to contact the Camden police department at 937-452-7522.
