Buck Creek Marina reopens days after ‘unidentified substance’ found in water

MOOREFIELD TOWNSHIP — The marina at Buck Creek State Park has reopened days after an unidentified substance was found in the water, according to a spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR)

ODNR spokesperson Andy Chow confirmed with News Center 7 Thursday that the marina has reopened, however, the source of the substance has not yet been identified.

Multiple agencies were called to clean up the substance. ODNR is working with the Springfield Fire Division, Moorefield Township Fire Department, the Ohio EPA, and the Clark County EMA.
