Remains found in Springfield identified as Mechanicsburg man

SPRINGFIELD — Remains found earlier this month behind the Town House Motor Lodge have been identified as those of a 41-year-old Mechanicsburg man.

The Clark County coroner identified the remains as belonging to Joshua Blanton.

A cause and manner of death have not been determined due to the state of the remains, according to the coroner’s office.

The skeletal remains were found Jan. 13 in woods in the 2800 block of Kohl Avenue.
