HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Authorities are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area in Montgomery County on Thursday afternoon, according to a spokesperson with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a deceased person in the area of Neva Drive and La Crosse Avenue, in Harrison Township, around 4 p.m.

Witnesses told authorities that the body was in a wooded area around 200 yards from the road.
Upon arrival, “an unidentified subject was located and appeared to be beyond help,” the spokesperson said.
The sheriff’s office didn’t include additional details on the nature of this investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit.
