HAMILTON COUNTY — A man is facing murder charges after he allegedly shot and killed his daughter.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday deputies were called to a house on 6th Avenue in Sycamore Township for an unresponsive woman, according to our news partners at WCPO.
Her sister, who had just returned home, found her near the front room and attempted CPR, a public information officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office told WCPO.

The victim, identified as Heather Thompson, 24, was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Deputies later found Franklin Thompson, 64, nearby.
According to the sheriff’s office, Franklin is Heather’s father and lives with her at the home.
He was charged with one count of murder and is currently booked in the Hamilton County Jail, according to online jail records.
