Up to 500 jobs expected to be filled at Dayton racino

Up to 500 jobs are expected to be filled at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway by the time the facility opens to the public this fall, officials announced Wednesday.

Gary DeWitt, general manager at the racino, said the company is looking to fill positions across a variety of different areas. Some of the available jobs include video lottery terminal technicians, security, facilities management, among other positions, he said.

Both full and part-time employees will be eligible for Hollywood Gaming's 401K program and paid time off, in addition to other benefits, according to DeWitt.

Hollywood Gaming anticipates the bulk of their hiring to occur throughout the summer months.

The racino is expected to begin harness racing Oct. 3 and is planning a grand opening of the $125 million facility, DeWitt said.
