24 indicted in connection to drug trafficking in Sidney

SIDNEY — 24 people are facing charges after the Sidney Police Department’s Narcotics Unit presented evidence in connection to drug trafficking activity within the city of Sidney.

The evidence presented to a Shelby County Grand Jury led to the indictment of of 24 people on 86 counts.

Drug trafficking charges included in the indictments included Trafficking in Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Tramadol, PCP, Spice and other dangerous drugs.

According to a release, the grand jury authorized the seizure of $655 and one handgun related to a narcotics search warrant.

The Sidney Police Department conducted several investigations spanning numerous months.
