DAYTON — Two people were injured after a crash at a busy Dayton intersection on Monday.

Officers and medics responded just before 6:30 p.m. to N James H McGee Boulevard and N Gettysburg Avenue on a reported crash, according to a Dayton Police crash report.

A 2020 dark blue Hyundai Sonata was traveling west on N. James H McGree Boulevard when it failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic while turning south onto N. Gettysburg Avenue.
As the Sonata was turning onto N Gettysburg Avenue, it hit a 2021 Black Nissan Sentra at an angle in the front end, the crash report said.
Medics transported a 21-year-old man who drove the Nissan Sentra to an area hospital with suspected serious injuries.
The 28-year-old man who drove the Hyundai Sonata was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Medics took him to an area hospital with suspected minor injuries, the crash report stated.
Wreckers removed both vehicles from the scene.
