'Sweet Honey' ad leads to prostitution arrest

A Dayton woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of soliciting and possession of criminal tools after police investigated an ad posted on backpage.com.

Deborah A. Jordan, 48, was taken to the Montgomery County Jail after a Dayton police detective posing as a john arranged to meet her at her Wroe Avenue home, according to a police report. Detectives monitoring the Internet for prostitution activity were responding to an ad placed on backpage.com from someone identifying herself as "Sweet Honey," who was seeking calls from "handsome mature professional and generous men."

Police say the woman agreed to engage in sex for $150. Later, Jordan told police she was only advertising a massage, and that she had run similar ads when she lived in Las Vegas, according to the report.
