Travis Hypes, 25, was taken into custody on a felonious assault charge.

“SpongeBob SquarePants” was playing on the television inside the duplex as detectives investigated the shooting, police said.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation also had a unit on scene.

“I heard what sounded like a firecracker ... little did I know that might’ve been a shot in the house,” said nearby resident Dustin Wagner, who added that the gunfire likely was muffled by the building.
