KETTERING — Kettering City School District’s next vaccine clinic will open up eligibility to kids 12 and up.
The school will have a vaccine clinic Wednesday for students and parents.
“We were amazed at the response,” Betina Irwin, the district’s nurse coordinator said. “We actually had to open up more time slots and extend our time.”

She is thrilled people are taking advantage of the opportunity to get vaccinated, now that the FDA has given the Pfizer shot emergency use authorization for 12-15-year-olds.
“I think, if I was a parent of a young child, I would be so excited that I could look forward to a more typical summer for my kids versus what we had last year. I think we’re all ready for that,” Irwin said.
About 600 people are already signed up.
