Bring in 5 cans of food, get a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich

Customers who bring in five canned good items to the Chick-fil-A Restaurant in Washington Twp. on Tuesday will receive a coupon for a free sandwich.

The restaurant at 1482 Miamisburg-Centerville Road will donate the canned goods to The Foodbank to help relieve hunger in the Miami Valley.

"We are blessed by the support of the community and wanted to show our support by giving back," Marla Davis, owner of the Washington Twp. Chick-fil-A, said in a release.

Michelle Riley, CEO of The Foodbank said, "Throughout our tri-county region, our member hunger relief charities serve about 16,000 meals every day to children, families and seniors. We are so thankful for members in our community like Chick-fil-A who come along and help us feed hungry people."

Donations to The Foodbank are distributed to a network of pantries, community kitchens, shelters and other charitable programs. Through its 85 member agencies, The Foodbank distributed 7.2 million pounds of food last year.
