Fire investigators are calling a fire “suspicious” that destroyed an outbuilding early today at the Tipp City Nature Center in the 800 block of North Third Street.

UPDATE @ 6:51 a.m.:
The 800 block of North Third Street and the bike path along the Nature Center in Tipp City remain closed while Miami County fire crews work to clear heavy smoke from the area after a shed caught fire.

The flames have been extinguished but there is still heavy smoke in the area, Tipp City police Sgt. Greg Adkins said. Two fire investigators are on scene working to determine what caused the shed fire, Adkins said.
The roadway and bike path will reopen once the smoke is cleared.
FIRST REPORT:
Miami County fire crews have shut down the 800 block of North Third Street due to a structure fire at the Nature Center in Tipp City.
Crews were dispatched to the center located on 850 N. 3rd Street Saturday at 5:18 a.m. on reports of a large structure fire, believed to be a shed, Miami County Regional Dispatch confirmed.
It is unknown at this time approximately how long the portion of the road will be shut down.
