Eaglet arrival at Carillon Park

While people are cooped up in homes and apartments during the state’s Stay at Home Order, the eagles at Carillon Park are nesting with a new addition.

Eagle expert, Jim Weller said there is at least one eaglet in the nest.

“We saw Willa feeding someone twice today,” Weller said Saturday.

Female eagle, Willa, and her male partner, Orv, have attracted a following over the last three years.

They chose a spot for their nest near downtown Dayton.

Often, cars line up outside of Carillon Historical Park so people can catch glimpses of the birds.
