Windmills in China create ‘flower sea’

A total of 400,000 colorful windmills were artfully laid out in southwest China's Chengdu City, attracting visitors in early spring.

Aerial shots showed the land is turned into a "flower sea." Many visitors came here to appreciate its beauty during the weekend.

"The weather is good. My whole family came to have fun together. It's special, very good," said Su Chuanru, a visitor.

"The cold winter is over and spring is coming. Here the massive stretches of different colors make us feel happy. Also, it's easy to get here as it is not far from the city," said Chen Mengjun, another visitor.

The flowers on the windmill farm will be in full bloom in two weeks. Tens of thousands of roses will mark the beginning of spring, vying with the windmills to catch the attention of visitors.

"Our theme is 'Enjoy the flowers, enjoy the windmills'. There will be more than 20 species of roses. We've also prepared a long corridor, where visitors can appreciate flower petal rains. The theme flower is rose," said Li Lei, staff of the Haonongren Organic Farm.
