Rion Allen, of Alamo Court, was not wearing a helmet in the accident reported about 7:50 p.m., according to a Dayton police traffic incident report.

He was headed east on West Third at an unknown speed when he apparently lost control of the Yamaha motorcycle, went over a curb and hit the pole just east of Ventura and near Brooklyn Avenue.

The cause and manner of death have not been determined, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said Monday afternoon.

This case is under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
