1 dead, 1 seriously hurt 2-vehicle weekend crash in Miami County

ELIZABETH TWP., Miami County — An 84-year-old woman was killed and a 91-year-old man was seriously hurt in a crash in the area of North Hufford and Lefevre roads Saturday.

Patricia Harris died from her injuries in the crash that was reported around 6 p.m. east of Troy.

Harold Harris was flown to an area hospital for treatment of injuries deputies described as serious.

The crash involved a pickup truck and an SUV. The Harris’ were in the SUV.

The driver of the pickup was not hurt, deputies said.

Deputies said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in crash.

Investigators have not said who was at fault in the wreck.
