General Prize Pick Up Questions

Q: I won a prize! Now what?

A: Once you’ve won a prize on one of our stations, you will receive an email within one week (usually a few days) with information pertaining to the prize. You will receive a link that will allow you to sign a release form. It may also contain a W9 form if the prize is valued over $600. This email will come from a email address like this K99WHKO@your-favorite-station.comWHIO@your-favorite-station.comEagle@your-favorite-station.com.

Q: How do I get my prize?

A: Cox Media Group Ohio no longer allows winners to pick up prizes are the station. All prizes will be distributed in one of three ways 1) Via United States Postal Service 2) Electronic transfer via email 3) Tickets left at WILL CALL/Guest List at venue. When you win a prize, this information will be relayed to you at the time.

All prizes sent via USPS will have a tracking number. If the event is coming up within 14 days and you have not received an email (make sure to check your spam folder), email us at DaytonRadioPrizes@cmg.com with your contact and contest information (see below) so we can answer your questions as quickly as possible. You will be provided with a corresponding tracking number to follow-up with your local post office.

Q: Can I request that my tickets be left at Will Call at the event?

A: No, tickets are not permitted to be picked up at Will Call unless that is stated explicitly in the email you have received.

Q: Can I sell my tickets?

A: No, you cannot sell the tickets or prizes you have won, per the Official Rules.

Q: If the event I won tickets for is canceled and not rescheduled, can I receive a replacement tickets for another show?

A: No, we cannot offer replacement tickets to show that are canceled.

Q: If I lose my tickets, can they be replaced?

A: No, we cannot replace lost tickets.

Q: If a prize sent through the USPS is lost in transit, will you replace the missing item?

A: No, we cannot replace lost items in the mail. This is an issue that must be addressed with your local post office. A tracking number will be provided by request at DaytonRadioPrizes@cmg.com.

Q: I won tickets that were sent to me via digital transfer, but I can’t access the Ticketmaster portal on my phone? What should I do?

A: Unfortunately, we can’t control how the event promoters send us their tickets. You can download the Ticketmaster app here to access tickets. We are not able to provide actual paper tickets unless they are provided to us by the promoter.

Q: How often can I win a prize from Cox Media Group Ohio?

A: Per the Official Rules. : Only one (1) prize winner may be selected from the same household every thirty (30) days in connection with any contest/sweepstakes sponsored or administered by any of the CMG-Ohio radio stations. Refer to specific contest rules for any changes to that policy:

  • K99.1FM (WHKO-FM)
  • 95.7 and 1290 WHIO (WHIO AM/FM)
  • 95.3 and 101.1 The Eagle (WZLR-FM)

If you or a member of your household has won a prize from any of the above CMG Ohio radio stations within the last thirty (30) days, you will be ineligible to receive a prize in a current contest/sweepstakes.

Example: If you win concert tickets from K99.1FM on Monday, you CANNOT win another prize from WHIO the next day, a week later, etc. You must wait thirty (30) days to be eligible to win again on ANY CMG Dayton radio station. Some exceptions may apply, please see the Official Rules for each specific sweepstakes or contest for details.

NOTE: Roommates count as a residing in the same household.

“Cash Prize” FAQs

Q: What do I need to do to receive my check?

A: You must complete all necessary paperwork required by Cox Media Group Dayton within 30 days of winning or else the prize will be forfeited. Paperwork and instructions will be emailed to you.

In addition to the paperwork, you must also provide a photo copy of a Valid Ohio Government-Issued Photo ID.

Any winner with a Valid Out-of-State Government-Issued Photo ID, expired Ohio Government-Issued Photo ID, or valid U.S. Passport must also provide a copy of a utility bill (invoiced within the last 45 days) to show proof of Ohio residency.

Q: How long does it take to receive a check?

A: Checks are issued within 60-90 days following receipt of completed paperwork and ID.
