Gusty winds, cool temperatures today; chance for showers returns tonight

DETAILED FORECAST:

TODAY: Temperatures will be below-average today and will feel even cooler with gusty winds expected through the day, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones.

Highs today will only reach the lower 50s. But with wind gusts expected up to 35 mph, it will feel about 10 degrees cooler all day.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected through the day as well.

Toward the evening, a few showers will redevelop. These could fall as rain with some wet snowflakes, but no accumulation is expected.

FRIDAY: It will be a chilly morning with temperatures in the low 30s. Sunshine returns for the day, with highs remaining well below normal in the lower to middle 40s. It will be clear and dry for the evening and overnight and frost will develop by Saturday morning.

SATURDAY: In the morning it will be frosty. Some sunshine will come out through the day. Temperatures will increase closer to normal; going into the upper 50s.

SUNDAY: We’ll have a dry start to Easter Sunday. Highs reach about 60. Another storm system will bring scattered rain showers back especially at night.

MONDAY: We will begin to dry out quickly during the morning. Clouds will linger with highs in the middle 50s.
