Cloudy with a Chance of Podcast: Fall Color 2020

Fall in the Miami Valley can be a beautiful season! Ohio has more than 120 species of trees which means all different color leaves emerge in the fall season. Not every year looks the same though, weather can impact how our color will be.

Ohio Department of Natural Resource Urban Forestry Manager, Tyler Stevenson sat down with meteorologist Kirstie Zontini to talk about how the fall color season will be in 2020. The good news is despite being in a pandemic, 2020 looks to produce a beautiful year!

The two talked about why the leaves change, how this year’s weather will impact how vibrant color will be and what ways trees can improve your mental and physical health. Stevenson talked about when colors would peak so you can find out how to best spend your time outside and socially distant!
