FAIRBORN, Ohio — Authorities in Greene County said someone is using spray paint to vandalize the Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn.
Dan LaPrairie is a painter. He has used his artistic talent for nearly 50 year to make a living.
He said, “I try to make things pretty for other people.”

However, LaPrairie said the graffiti that is popping up at the park is not art.
“That bothers me a lot. It’s defacing places where people go to work and have a good time and they have to see that and there’s not way to get rid of it,” he said.
Fairborn city crews have tried to get rid of the graffiti. They have painted over a lot of it, but it keeps coming back.
Police in Fairborn told News Center 7 that they arrested a handful of juveniles last summer in connection with vandalism at the park. But they don’t know who is responsible for this current rash of graffiti.
Officers made a Facebook post showing photos of the damage and asking for help identifying any suspects.
LaPrairie said he hopes they find the people responsible and make them clean up their mess.
“They’ll have a hard time getting it off, but it will be a good workout for them,” he said.
