Troy and Piqua offer two contests to support local businesses this summer

MIAMI COUNTY — Small businesses in the cities of Troy and Piqua are showing their appreciation during the reopening by holding two contests with one in each city this summer.

Both cities want to continue encouraging customers to support local businesses, especially after the past few months in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both contest offer a variety of prizes. Below are the rules for both contests going on this summer.

City of Troy

The rules for the challenge include:

• For every $20 you spend at a Troy small business from July 1-31, you will receive an entry into the prize drawings.

• You can visit our businesses as often as you wish, but your entries are capped at $500 per transaction.

• For smaller transactions, you may put several together to add up to $20.

• To enter the contest, you must provide the chamber with a copy of your dated receipt, with the business name on it along with your name, address, phone number, and email (to be used to contact you in case of winning).

• One person may not win more than one prize.

•Chamber staff, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.

• Entries must be received by midnight on Aug. 2 to be eligible for prizes.

• Entries may be submitted throughout the month at TroyOhioChamber.com, or via mail at 405 SW Public Square, Suite 330, Troy, OH 45373.

• Prize winners will be announced on the Troy Chamber Facebook page on Aug. 3

• In addition to the random drawings, one $50 gift card will be awarded to the person who supports the most area small businesses in July.

City of Piqua

• Spend at least $15 at any downtown Piqua food establishments and or retails establishments during the month of July and hold onto your receipts.

THEN:

• Photograph your receipts and e-mail them, along with your name, to: info@mainstreetpiqua.com.

• Participants will receive a Piqua Proud Gift Pack, as a Thank You for supporting the downtown business community during re-opening.

YOUR PIQUA PROUD GIFT PACK INCLUDES:

• Piqua, Ohio key chain

• Deck of Piqua playing cards

• Piqua postcards

• Automatic entry into the Grand Prize Drawing held August 5 – with $150 in gift cards and prizes. The winner will receive a return e-mail with instructions about how to pick up your prize pack.
