GULFPORT, Miss. — A fight at a New Year’s Eve party in Mississippi turned deadly when three men were killed in a shootout, authorities said.
One person was in critical condition and four other people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the Sun-Herald reported.
Gulfport police Sgt. Clayton Fulks said a fight at the party escalated and several people began firing shots into the crowd, the newspaper reported.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said three men died from their injuries, WLOX-TV reported. They were identified as Corey Dubose, 23, of D’Iberville; Sedrick McCord 28, of Gulfport; and Aubrey Lewis, 22, of Bay St. Louis.
Dubose and McCord were taken to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and were pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds, Switzer told the Sun-Herald. Lewis was taken to Singing River Gulfport hospital and died in surgery from multiple gunshot wounds, Switzer said.
