Crews were dispatched at around 7:30 a.m. on Northbound I-275 near Milford Parkway, according to our news partner WCPO in Cincinnati.
A 2009 Hyundai Accent was disabled when it was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Express van. The Hyundai traveled off the west side of road striking a concrete median barrier and the van went off the east side striking the guardrail, a spokesperson for the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) said.
Roman Dunaev, 27, of Loveland was in the passenger seat of the Hyundai and not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital with serious injuries, OSHP told WCPO.
Ernest Reese, 56, of Sardina, drove the van and was taken to Bethesda North Hospital with minor injuries. Reese was wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred, OSHP said.
The accident remains under investigation.
