DAYTON — During what is already one of the busiest travel times of the year, people here in the Miami Valley are beginning to see an impact from the snow and bitter cold this week.
News Center 7’s Lauren Clark has been at the Dayton International Airport today speaking with travelers dealing with the day.
“ It's not as we planned,” said Drew Perkins of Dayton. “We were supposed to be leaving at 8:58 a.m. It's been delayed at least until 11.”

Perkins said they would be hurrying to catch their connecting flight to family in Minnesota.
Some flights from Dayton to Chicago were canceled, and others delayed.
Skiers brave cold temperatures at Mad River Mountain
Dayton resident Rob Muraski was at the airport awaiting visitors.
“Right now, they're about an hour late,” Muraski said.
Justin Brown of Troy was at the airport awaiting his girlfriend, who flew Hawaii to Chicago to Dayton. Her flight from Chicago was delayed.
“It didn't say it was delayed when we first checked the arrivals, but now it says it's delayed,” Brown said.
