Woman dead after crash in Moraine

MORAINE — A woman is dead after a crash in Moraine early Saturday.

Moraine Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Main Street and Dryden Road at 1:02 a.m. on reports of an injury crash, the city’s dispatch said.

According to a Moraine police crash report, a Hyundai was heading north on Dryden Road at the intersection of Main Street and proceeded through the intersection. A Toyota was heading west on Main Street through the intersection.

The front end of the Hyundai collided with the driver’s side of the Toyota while in the intersection, the crash report said.

Upon reviewing camera footage from businesses in the area, police found that the Hyundai had a red light and failed to stop and yield the right of way to the second vehicle which had a green light.

The driver of the Toyota, a 55-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at Kettering Medical Center-Main Campus, the report said.
