MIAMI COUNTY — A 21-year-old Maine man was killed just before midnight Friday in a single-car crash.
Jonathan Williams of Rovell, Maine, was identified as the driver, and the only occupant in the car, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

He was a student at the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy.
The crash, reported at 11:57 p.m. Friday, happened on state Route 55 on a curve near Rugged Hill Road. Deputies said excessive speed driving along a curve in the roadway is a contributing factor to the crash.
