Waste collection will be delayed in the Dayton area due to the Juneteenth holiday

DAYTON — Neighbors will see their waste collection delayed by one day for the week of June 20 in Dayton, Moraine and Jefferson Township due to the Juneteenth holiday.

Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day in the City of Dayton throughout the week.

Waste collection will be moved from Friday, June 24 to Saturday, June 25 in Moraine. Trash collection will also be delayed by one day in Jefferson Township.

The pickup of bulk and recycling pickup will take place on Saturday, June 25 in Jefferson Township.

Neighbors are asked to have their containers outside and ready for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on collection days to help keep collection on schedule, a City of Dayton spokesperson said in a media release.
