KETTERING — Fairmont High School, Kettering, and Van Buren middle schools will join together for the 2021 Walk4Hope 5K today.
They will be joining Hope Squad members from across Ohio to participate in an annual ‘walk-a-thon’ designed to raise awareness for mental health issues and suicide prevention.
The event will start at 11:00 a.m. today and then end at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon.
The schools will meet outside of Fairmont High School’s outdoor track.
Walk4Hope is designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and suicide prevention and to raise funds to support the mission of Grant Us Hope to “transform the conversation on suicide prevention and bridge local service gaps through collaborative, evidence-based research, education, and programs.”
