— Hail and multiple trees down were reported this afternoon as strong storms moved through the region.

A large tree fell across the 200 block of South Butter Street in Germantown around 2:15 p.m., and Dayton Power & Light crews were called.

In Miami Twp., police blocked Dayton-Cincinnati Pike at Shephard road for a tree partially blocking the road. Power lines also were affected.
Nickel-size hail was reported at 1:20 p.m. between four and five miles east of Eaton in Preble County, and quarter-size hail was reported at 2:30 p.m. four miles south of Miamisburg near North Dixie Highway and Pennyroyal Road in Warren County, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Trees also were reported down at 4:53 p.m. at Little Forest Drive and South Diamond Mill Road in German Twp.; at 3:08 p.m. at Hemple and South Diamond Mill roads in Jefferson Twp.; and at 2:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Lower Miamisburg Road and at Fairmersville-Germantown Pike and Stiver Road, both in German Twp., according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
