This evening: Numerous showers and storms will continue to cross the region before tapering off after dark.

“The rain could be heavy at times and storms could produce some hail and strong winds through late afternoon,” Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Temperatures will fluctuate from the 70s and 80s in and out of rain showers, Elwell said.

Overnight: Showers will taper off with clouds lingering. Some patchy fog will be possible, especially across the southern Miami Valley. Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s by morning.

>> Storm damage: Tree falls at Miami Twp. government building, lightning causes Butler Co. barn fire

Friday: Expect lots of clouds along with the threat for showers and a few thunderstorms, especially south of Interstate 70. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
