Lockdown lifted at Greene County Career Center; threat not credible, deputies say

GREENE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 3:40 p.m.: 

A lockdown was lifted at the Greene County Career Center after deputies investigated a reported threat at the school.

In a Facebook post, the school said students were safe and released from the school.

The investigation found the threat made to the school was not credible, according to the school’s post.

It was not immediately known if any charges would be filed.

We have been given the "all clear" signal. Investigation indicates the threat was not credible. Regardless, we work to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Deputies are investigating after a threat was reported at the Greene County Career Center Tuesday, according to sheriff’s office dispatchers.

News Center 7 received multiple tips that the Career Center was on lockdown.

However, when contacted, school officials declined to comment.
