UPDATE @ 3:55 p.m. (Sept. 11):
Troy police said a man armed with a box cutter robbed the business at 15 S. Dorset Road around 10:40 a.m. The man placed an order before robbing the employee, police said. He later was arrested following a traffic wreck in Dayton.
Morgan pleaded no contest in county Common Pleas Court and was found guilty by Judge Christopher Gee. Sentencing was scheduled for Sept. 25. Morgan remains in jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m. (June 13):
Anthony Charles Morgan, 46, with addresses in Tipp City and Versailles, entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery in connection with an armed robbery June 3 at a Subway in Troy.
Morgan, an admitted drug addict, is accused of using a box cutter to threaten an employee as she opened the cash register.
About six hours later, Morgan was arrested in Dayton after striking a fence at a home on Smith Street. He was held by Dayton police for an OVI offense.
Morgan was returned to Miami County on Monday on a warrant for aggravated robbery.
His cash bond was set Tuesday morning during a video arraignment before Miami County Municipal Court Judge Elizabeth Gutmann at $250,000. The judge noted a long criminal history when setting his bond.
UPDATE @ 10:45 p.m. (June 5)Troy police are confirming a report that the man who crashed an SUV on Smith Street is the suspect in the armed robbery of a Subway sandwich shop in Troy on Saturday.
The suspect, identified as 56-year-old Anthony Charles Morgan, is said to be in Miami Valley Hospital. As of Monday night, he is not listed among the inmates in the Montgomery County Jail, according to the online roster.
According to the Troy Police Department Facebook page, detectives have been looking for Morgan since the robbery. His last known address is in Tipp City, according to police, who said they believed he was driving a maroon GMC Envoy that he he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Detectives also warned the public not to approach the man because he may be suicidal.

The driver of an SUV that hit two objects on Smith Street before the vehicle ended up in the yard of a home on Monday afternoon suffered non-life threatening injuries, a Dayton fire captain said.

According to the fire official, the male driving a GMC Envoy was on South Edwin C. Moses Boulevard when he apparently lost control of the vehicle in the 200 block of Smith Street about 5:20 p.m.
The vehicle hit a fire hydrant, the front gate in the yard of a home on Smith Street and a garage on that property before ending up in the yard of a another home on the same street.
The gate and garage were damaged, the fire captain said, but the second house was not damaged.
The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, the captain said.
