Sinclair Community College’s spring semester started today with a record high number of students – 6,600 – in the College Credit Plus Program (CCP), where student’s complete college credits while still in high school, according to a release.
During 2017 to 2018, 40 students graduated with an associate degree before graduating high school.
The school’s new Centerville Campus opened today as well, which will offer certificate and degree programs in high demand fields such as cyber security and health sciences.
“I like it, it’s a new opportunity to help Centerville and help Sinclair build more name recognition,” one student said.

Sinclair also had a record-setting spring term enrollment with 6,200 students in online classes and 580 in hybrid classes, the release stated.
“Sinclair continues to operate with expanded capacity to accommodate the regional need for quality and affordable higher education,” said Sinclair president Dr. Steven Johnson. “We are pleased to be able to continue providing the region with increasing opportunities for a solid college education and workforce development.”
Over the last decade, students have earned nearly 40,000 degrees and certificates at Sinclair.
