Road work to close lane on major road in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY — Drivers traveling on U.S. 35 in Greene County will be impacted this week due to road work.

Construction crews will close the left lane of Westbound U.S. 35 just east of the Valley and Trebein Roads intersection starting Monday night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Once in place, the left turns from Westbound 35 to southbound Valley Road will be eliminated.

Drivers can take Westbound U.S. 35 and the signalized loon past Orchard Lane and return to Eastbound U.S. 35 to Valley Road, ODOT said.

The project will also include retaining wall construction and upgrades at the Valley and Trebein Roads intersection.

ODOT says traffic will be maintained at U.S. 35 but there will be lane restrictions and there may also be intermittent, short-term periods of lane closures.
