Power has been restored to all but one home in Montgomery County following an outage that left over 900 in the dark.

The outage occurred earlier Tuesday evening after an electrical jumper, a type of conductor used to send electrical signals, failed, according to DP&L.

A DP&L director said the outages were first reported around 6:05 p.m. Tuesday and were contained to the City of Englewood.

Power is expected to be restored to over 900 Englewood homes by 8 p.m. tonight, according to DP&L Director Kelly Millhouse.

Millhouse said the outages occurred when an electrical jumper failed to make an electrical connection.

EARLIER

Over 900 homes are without power in Montgomery County, according to a DP&L outage map.

Outages are contained to the City of Englewood and were first reported around 6:05 p.m. Tuesday evening, according to DP&L Director Kelly Millhouse.

Millhouse said the power company has yet to determine a cause and a crew is en route to resolve the issue.
