Police investigate Rite Aid robbery in Springfield

Rite Aid on South Limestone Street was robbed Thursday for the second time this year.

Police are investigating a robbery at the Rite Aid on South Limestone Street in Springfield Thursday afternoon.

The robbery was reported around 3:50 p.m. and it’s unclear whether a weapon was shown during the incident, investigators said.

Initial emergency dispatch traffic indicated the robber was a skinny man who appeared to be in his early 20s wearing a black hoodie with a Nike logo on the shirt and headphones.
